Riding into Denver today was absolutely gorgeous! We had awesome bike trails that led us into the city and gave us a gorgeous view of the Rockies in the distance. We also saw tons of adorable prairie dogs in their little tunnel homes. Worst part of the day was in the beginning when we hit a 10 mile stretch of sand gravel - shoutout to the water van for shuttling us halfway once they could get to us! They saved the day considering we really really hate gravel and could only go approximately 6 mph over it with a 75% chance of falling.
After our ride, we all headed to shower and then split up for different activities downtown. I went to a baseball game at the Denver Rockies stadium with Emily, Brady, Mitch and one of Emily's friends who lives in Denver and showed us around! Although the Rockies are one of the worst teams in the Major leagues, their stadium is gorgeous and the game was lots of fun, despite the fact I had three frozen drinks spilled on me in the span of 15 minutes! That's bad luck if I've ever experienced it! But I made the best of it because I was in such a beautiful city, especially at night with all of lights. I had so much fun biking into and exploring Denver today, if only we could stay a little longer! But I've heard Boulder is even better...can't wait to see for myself! :)
