The past two days were sort of a bummer for riding because the only option to get to our host cities was to bike on the interstate (aka we are in the middle of nowhere and this is the only road!). We didn't feel comfortable with that idea so we decided to shuttle and just take advantage of the free time by exploring the cities we were in! In Saratoga we got to soak in the natural hot springs and walk around their downtown before driving to Rawlins, where we had a team movie night and just hung out. The next morning, Caitlyn and I went on a run to the old "state penitentiary" for Wyoming which was cool but a little creepy as well. We also climbed up this little rock mountain and got a gorgeous view of the city. The next day in Rock Springs we explored the city, did a little hiking, and WENT TO THE RODEO! It was the National High School Finals and was really fun! There were kids competing from almost every state, even Virginia, and we got to see them lasso calfs, ride bulls, and race their horses through those poll things (sorry I have no idea what all of the competitions are actually called). It was a really fun experience, and definitely an atmosphere I had never experienced before. We saw lots of jeans, cowboy boots and huge belt buckles. We definitely looked a little out of place :). Tomorrow we finally get to get back on our bikes woohoooo!
