Today I was on food van duty with Chris so we had the job of getting lunch for all of our teammates! We didn't have too much of a problem getting donations and met a really awesome guy at "The Bike Mill" in Lander who donated rim tape, lube and stickers to us! The riders had a really tough day today through desert and the "Wind River" Indian reservation which remained true to it's name and provided them with lots of awful headwinds. They pushed through and did really awesome despite the wind pushing them back so they moved at an approximate 8 miles per hour on flat ground - yikes! Meanwhile, Chris and I got to Dubois early after we delivered lunch to the riders, unpacked all of the luggage and explored downtown. We spotted out a laundromat for the riders to shower/wash clothes and also took touristy pictures with all of the Dubois signs :). We also got to see the "Jackalope" museum and big statue which we took a picture on! Apparently people used to believe that the mythical creature of the Jackalope is real…who woulda thought! Our hosts for the night were also really wonderful, providing us with dinner and breakfast for the following morning as well as a air conditioned place to sleep. Can't wait to head to Jackson tomorrow…we have a climb ahead but I have heard that the scenery is just gorgeous! Almost to day 50…I can't believe it!
