Our one planned rest day actually turned into a second when we learned that we would not be able to bike through Yellowstone (our next destination) with such a large group of bikers. We wouldn't have wanted to bike with all of the RV and tourists on the roads anyways so we didn't mind the extra day of rest and time to explore! We spent some time in downtown Jackson shopping and eating, rode the Jackson Hole Ski Resort's aerial tram up into the Tetons, went hiking around a glacial lake (Jenni Lake), got to see two amazing sunsets, and spent time cooking and chatting around the campfire each night! Although camping hasn't been ideal for showering and eating, it's been fun to spend so much time outdoors and sleep in tents. This is my first real 'camping experience' and so far I've survived the lack of showers, bathrooms and the bug bites/dirtiness that I have acquired. And hopefully our rowdiness hasn't disturbed too many of the other campers! My team and I are looking forward to having a real place to sleep tomorrow night for sure :) We also get to explore Yellowstone, another fun day ahead - I can't wait!
